When the Music with Marnie show hits the stage, children start moving and grooving. Marnie Grey’s shows consistently sell out across the county because she is “One of the best children’s performers of her generation,” says the Vancouver International Children’s Festival. Every performance is a high-energy, up on your feet and boogying to the beat experience.
Marnie’s years of Early Childhood expertise, high energy enthusiasm and all out magnetic personality inspires children to get up on their feet. The talented four piece band pumps out an eclectic mix of tunes that are easy on everyone’s ears. The entire show packs a punch from beginning to end, each song tells a story and has an action, keeping children focused and physical.
Marnie and her team create a high energy, theatrical and magical environment where children can’t help but join in the festivities. The show is visually enhanced with cute and colourful puppets and props and frequent visits from costumed characters that captivate the children and inspire them to participate. This is modern children’s music and more at its very finest!
Twistin Sam
Twistin' Sam is Vancouver's top balloon entertainer where he twists, bends, and contorts balloons in
ways that leaves clowns and magicians scratching their heads. Twistin' Sam is a "Challenge Twister"
which means it is up to YOU to create the idea for the balloon for Twistin' Sam to make. All your
favorite animals and characters are on the table!
Twistin' Sam has learned/taught balloons from/to some of the best and brightest balloon entertainers
around the world. Twistin' Sam cares what it means to be top quality and strives to be one of the
best entertainers in the Lower Mainland.
Will’s Jams
Will Stroet of Will's Jams is a JUNO-nominated musician, nationally recognized
educator and former CBC Kids TV star. His high-energy rock-pop music in English and
French is full of witty wordplay and sing-along choruses, inspiring kids to be active,
creative, caring and community-minded. Will and the band perform hits from his 12
albums, which are masterpieces of creativity and fun, further cementing him as the

About the workshops:
Printmaking Workshop: Create your own relief style print and learn a little about how this type of printing works. A wow factor project where you won't know the final outcome until you lift up your printing plate! Suitable for ages 6+, this project is loved by all ages and adaptable to all skill levels as it works for both simple designs as well as more advanced drawings.
Zentangle and Spray Paint: Create a relaxing landscape of your choice using sharpie markers. Learn how simple repeated designs can create a beautiful work of art. Once the zentangle is complete, we will spray colour on top using liquid watercolours for a truly amazing effect. Suitable for ages 6+, this project is loved by all ages and adaptable to all skill levels as it works for both simple designs as well as more advanced drawings.
Rainbow: Come by and create a bright wonderful rainbow designed in any way you like! We will be using paint sticks and sparkly stickers and then adding a handle with pipe cleaners and beads to carry your beautiful rainbow around with you as you explore all of Celtic Picnic! This project is suitable for all ages. Younger kids can have a parent help them out; paint sticks require little effort to gain great colour saturation, so they work well for even the littlest of hands.
